Kudos NBI Robinson's Otis

It was July 2011 when I found out that the National Bureau of Investigation ended up their partnership with Mega Data Corporation, the IT Company that handled NBI's database. Soon after the contract ended, they tied up with a different company and was back to zero. Unfortunately, the convenient way of getting our  NBI Clearances was replaced by a very slow system that's starting from scratch.

A lot of people, especially those who need clearances for job application, were disappointed. There are only few NBI Centers available nationwide and these centers can only process 500 - 2000 people per day. The usual 30 minutes processing of clearance became long hours. People were obliged to wake up at dawn and fell in line right before the sun rises. People have to wait long hours in line. Very disappointing.

It also made me worry because I know that I'll be needing it soon as I plan to apply for work. I made some research and I can't help but feel sorry for the people who spent 8-12 hours just to get their clearance. Stories posted over forums and blogs were full of disappointment with the new system. After a few months, NBI announced that their online system's already working. Oh, well thank God.

Ever heard of Robinson's Otis? (I've never heard of it before!) This NBI Center at Robinson's Otis was said to be the best site to get NBI clearance. It was posted on many blogs and forums so I decided to get mine at this site. Pexers and Girltakers said that you can even get a clearance in the afternoon. I was there by 1:30 pm and got my clearance around 1:50 pm. Very convenient! No long lines are waiting!

Step 1: Filling up the application form.

Step 2: Payment and Encoding
The chairs that you see is the waiting area for payment and encoding.
Step 3: BIOMETRICS
The area with white boards are for ID capture and fingerprinting.

Step 4 is for Releasing.

Very convenient isn't it? So for those people who need the clearance within the day, go to Robinson's Otis. :) Click here for directions how to get there.

UPDATE:

Robinson's Otis can only accommodate 500 applicants per day. I just heard from a friend that this site is already filled with applicants right before lunch so you have to go there as early as possible for you to be processed within the day.

You can now also be scheduled on-line and pay the fees thru Globe Gash. More information is posted on their website. Just click here.
